Project Summary:

CodeRed Business Solutions Inc. (CRBS), was included in a team of subject matter experts who worked as an extension of MBTA’s professional maintenance staff. Through this effort, the team will be better equipped to address the needs of all levels of the MBTA maintenance organizations. This, in turn, will permit the combined MBTA team to support the optimization of the new software in such a way as to provide MBTA with the best possible outcomes.

Tasks:

  • Review the MBTA’s current business practices and distill them for incorporation into the MCRS2 system
  • Evaluate and standardize similar but disparate processes to allow each MBTA facility to operate with standard documentation protocols.
  • Work with MBTA staff at various levels to understand the functional process as well as the documentation driven by those process.
  • Review and comment on submitted Trapeze reports including: Status Report; Project Plan; Risk/Defects Log and Governance Reports.
  • Participate in project meetings with MBTA and Trapeze.
  • Assist the MBTA in the implementation of the Trapeze system as needed at the various levels of interface with the system (e.g. data entry, reporting, etc)
  • Maintain lists of, and follow up on, all action items, open items and issues
  • Identify and recommend appropriate mitigation throughout the project
  • The prime and CRBS will develop and submit a monthly project report to the MBTA. This report will outline recent project activities, upcoming activities, potential project issues, upcoming decision points, and overall project status. These progress reports will be independent of the Trapeze reports, to provide validation of the project’s status.
  • CRBS will deliver other work as directed through the course of this program, to the limits of the task budget.

The team will assist in managing issues and identifying risks in the delivery of the Trapeze contract. However, Trapeze are the developers and implementors of the software package, the success and timeliness of the program will be based on their ability to provide and manage adequate and appropriate resources. The team will provide the contracted services, within the limits of the task budget, in support of this program. However, the progress of the implementation itself will be driven by the responsiveness of Trapeze.
