LA Metro | Prime Contractor | July 2020 | Reviewed M-3 data system capability to support Reliability Centered Maintenance processes. |
Project Summary:
In 2019, CodeRed Business Solutions Inc. (CRBS) was tasked by the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transit Authority (LACMTA) to perform a comprehensive study to review their existing M-3 Data Systems capability to support predictive maintenance/Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) principles. This study also included applying RCM principles to the 13 major railcar systems of LA Metro’s Rail fleet. CRBS evaluated data from the current M3 system as well as other data collected by LACMTA to determine if sufficient information exists to support advanced maintenance processes such as Reliability Centered Maintenance and Predictive Maintenance for rail vehicles. One of the key objectives of this project is to identify critical data gaps to support the RCM processes being implemented at LACMTA. As part of our LACMTA RCM project, CRBS performed a detailed analysis identifying critical data gaps in the M3 data system. This gap analysis provided LACMTA with the knowledge required to enhance the new Infor EAM system currently being implemented.
Key deliverables:
• Identification of data required to support advanced maintenance practices.
• Identify data gaps not available in the M3 system.
• Identify reliability, centered, maintenance processes.
