Within the whole life cycle activities of LIRR assets, CRBS provided a consultant collaboratively working with Long Island Rail Road staff to develop detail business process maps to outline the current and future state of all LIRR business processes. This includes analysis and definition of optimized business processes that drove the implementation of EAM technologies.
Key deliverables included:
- Provide leadership and guidance to capture business process optimization initiatives through efficient and low impact methodologies
- Assist in capturing as-is (current state) activities, workflow processes at each touch point, by asset, of each asset lifecycle
- Developed to-be (future state) process map optimizing the current functionalities adopting six-sigma, lean industrial engineering methodologies as basis for the EAM information system
- Effectively coach, mentor and train LIRR individuals on process improvement tools and techniques
